Every street corner is a different reality. Some are realities defined by decades of apathy, ignorance and fear. Some by love, nurture and friendship. And others by all of the above. Whatever the reality may be on any given street corner, we are all human. Though we all share a planet, we live in very different worlds. Right or wrong, good or bad, having the courage to empathize for one and other, no matter how different those realities may be, is true enlightenment. Brian Gill's photography brings us one step closer to enlightenment by caring for those we've never met and finding understanding and beauty in the complex world of which we may not always understand, but are all a part.
